[Regarding the 14,440 elevation for Mt. Massive mentioned in the November edition.]
The first, "unofficial," explanation from the FAA was that a GPS survey "resulted in an elevation correction." The later, presumably "official," FAA explanation is that an error in reading contour lines was made by a "novice cartographer" which will be corrected on the next edition of the Denver Sectional Chart.
Why do they let cartographers fool with these maps to begin with?
