Editor:

Several times this nation has asked its young citizens to sacrifice their lives. If the WAR ON TERRORISM is the crisis we are told it is, why not ask the richest 2 percent of Americans to sacrifice some of their wealth?

A one-time 33 percent tax on that portion of every individual's net worth that exceeds $500,000 would generate about $2 trillion! It would help stabilize our already faltering economy by taking tax pressures off the poor and middle class. It would provide more than enough funding for the WAR ON TERRORISM.
