Build better next time

I wonder if we will be so stupid as to build the same wooden houses in the same places where fires are sure to occur again.

A much better idea would be to use fire-resistant construction. I propose using concrete for the walls, say at least 8 inches thick with heavy metal shutters over windows and doors that can be closed when a fire approaches. The roof should be tile or metal or both. There should be no exposed wood anywhere.
