Lynda La Rocca's story about an encounter with a hummingbird was very enjoyable. Hurrah for the rescue of the bird and for such persistence that led to a happy conclusion.

Lynda's mention in the article about adding molasses to the formula in the feeder made me wonder if molasses is a good idea. Honey is taboo, because it fosters the growth of fungus, which in turn can infect the hummingbirds' tongues.
