You could send a "chirp" or donation to Sparrows. Since last year, Sparrows has been under the umbrella of ArtWorks. For the Heart of the Rockies, an organization established "to support and build on the area's unique and rich art community."
ArtWorks "seeks to weave the arts into the fabric of our community by providing resources and programs designed to nurture artistic expression and broaden participation in the arts." In addition to providing financial support to Sparrows (ArtWorks is one of the festival's major sponsors, along with Columbine Poets Inc., the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado, and the Chaffee County Visitors' Bureau), ArtWorks' non-profit status allows the organizers of Sparrows to apply for grants and makes Sparrows'donations tax-deductible.
