Let's be honest here. This site is designed to make money -- by persuading more people to subscribe, perhaps, or to attract more advertisers for our magazine. Those are the only sources of income for this magazine, and we haven't figured out a way for the Web to directly send money our way. So we'd sure like you to consider subscribing or advertising.
Erik Moore of Salida assisted greatly in the development of this site, and if you want to hire him to help you with yours, you can Email him.
This site is hosted by Music Mountain Press of Westcliffe, Colorado.
It is usually updated at least once a month, around the end.
PRIVACY POLICY: We do not collect your keystrokes here, nor do we collect information about our subscribers except for names and mailing addresses. We do not rent our mailing list. In essence, we're here to provide information to you, not to collect information from you.
BYTEHEAD STUFF: This site probably looks best with Netscape Navigator, although it seems to work with most common browsers. The print edition of Colorado Central is produced with Corel Ventura Publisher, Corel Draw, Corel Photo Paint, Adobe Photoshop, and Caere Omniscan. For the web, we use our home-rolled SPITBOL programs to convert text files from typesetting format to HTML, and a variety of specialized editors (HotDog, HoTMetaL, HTMLed) for producing Web pages.
As you may have noticed, we try to avoid Microsoft products -- that company seems to be doing just fine without our money.
The search engine for this site -- Free Find -- seems to work quite well and, it doesn't cost us anything; however, it does put some ads in front of you.
