Grief Support

Losing someone you love is very painful. Once the funeral is over and the cards and flowers stop pouring in, the grieving process may become a lonely and difficult experience.

In fact, many health experts agree that our society does not properly address the needs of those who grieve. People sometimes seem to forget that the death of someone loved can be one of life’s most traumatic experiences.

At Cozine Memorial Group, we have responded by offering support beyond the time of the funeral. Our Healthy Pathways AfterCare Program is offered at no cost to you. For one year after your service, each month you will receive an issue of our Healthy Pathways newsletter. Each issue includes articles written by Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Ph.D., founder of The Center for Life and Loss Transition, along with insights from our Care Coordinator, Brad Riley. In addition to our newsletter, our lending library offers resources available to grieving family and friends within our community, including those served by other funeral homes.

Our website also lists several local area support groups. We have included brief summaries regarding the type of help they offer, as well as links to their websites. We would also encourage you to contact your church, pastor, physician, or local hospice organization for additional information and help regarding counseling, support groups, or other grief-related organizations.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions…we are here to help!
