Cozine Memorial Group is committed to providing caring and compassionate service to the families of our community. We are truly sorry for your loss.

One of the first steps in making funeral or memorial arrangements will be to make an appointment to sit down with one of our experienced funeral directors, so that we can begin the process of gathering important information, discussing service options, and ultimately helping you to create a service that helps you honor, celebrate, and remember the special life of your loved one. Important Information Regarding the Reporting of a Death

When a death occurs in the home or at work, you should immediately dial 911. Typically, fire personnel, paramedics, and police will be dispatched to the location. Any death occurring without a physician or medical personnel in attendance must be reported. Additionally, you might want to call family, friends or your clergy to sit with you while the medical staff and police ask you questions. If the deceased was recently treated for an illness or disease, you’ll want to be sure to let the medical staff and police know the name of the physician. For those actively involved with a hospice or a home health care program, family members are given instructions and procedures to follow when death occurs. Instead of dialing 911, call the hospice or home health care staff member who will confirm that a death has occurred and will then notify the mortuary and the physician on the family’s behalf.
