Aaron Livengood

Aaron Peter Livengood, 42, passed from this plane of existence on January 12, 2023. Aaron was the second, and final planned child of John and Maralyn Livengood. Some of you may know, Aaron was not last though, he was followed by a little brother- completing the “THREE BOYS!” that Justin, Aaron and Willie were called growing up. In 1998, Aaron graduated from Heights High School where he participated in baseball, football and wrestling.

Aaron was quite the sports fanatic. When he was younger, you could find him playing Soccer, T-ball, Baseball, or Football.  His love of baseball manifested in his later years as a love for St Louis Cardinals baseball team and a large collection of baseball memorabilia.  Aaron played football the longest, including stints on the Hutchinson and Tabor Community College teams.  Aaron and his father spent hours discussing and watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and anything KU. More recently, Aaron became involved with a Darts league, through which he won multiple competition trophies.

Deciding his football career was at an end, Aaron ultimately transferred to Wichita State University. While at WSU, he became a member of the Kappa Sigma fraternity. In lieu of a degree, Aaron started working with his father- driving lab equipment all across the US as his father taught Cisco classes. After leaving this job, Aaron gravitated towards manufacturing, ultimately ending up being trained in machining. Aaron was hopeful he would be able to return to school and complete a degree in Civil Engineering.

Perhaps most importantly, Aaron was fortunate to have found his soulmate, his Baby Blue, Kerri Walker. The two became engaged to be married on February 29, 2020. Together they enjoyed fishing, disc golf, camping, grilling, spending quality time together, and with friends and family.

Aaron leaves behind his Mother, Maralyn Livengood, brothers Justin (Shanel), and William (Rachel) Livengood; Fiancé, Kerri Walker; Aunts and Uncles, Clayton Livengood, Steve (Sue) Livengood, Brad (Pam) Livengood, Marsha Baldridge, Sara Tracy, and Michael Foster; and many extended family and friends. Aaron was welcomed to his eternal home by his father, John Livengood; grandparents, Lawrence and Virginia Livengood, Roy and Katherine Foster; extended family, friends, and pets. We can only assume Chief was ready for Aaron to take him hunting the moment they reunited.

Services will be 2pm on Friday January 20th at Cozine Life Event Center (11500 E 21st, Wichita). Following the service, the family invites you all to Chicken and Pickle from 4:30pm to 7:30pm for appetizers, and friendship as we remember a great man who is gone too soon. The family would like to extend a special ‘Thank you’ to honorary pall bearers, John, Justin, and William Livengood, Brett Dearmore, Vince Oliver, Aaron Thompson, Brandon Schmidt, and Brian and Casey Thompson. In lieu of cut flowers, Kerri requests live plants, as Aaron and Kerri both enjoyed being ‘plant parents’. As Aaron would say, LIVENGOOD SAYS IT ALL!

Please feel free to leave a memory, story, or photo below in the guestbook. The family will greatly appreciate each one.
