Adelle Shain

Adelle Louise ( Yost) Shain was  born on December 21st 1955. Adelle passed away peacefully in the presence of her husband and daughter and made her debut in heaven on March 1st, 2020. A Memorial Service will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, March 21, 2020 at GracePoint Church in Wichita, KS. A memorial has been established in Adelle's name with GracePoint Church, 9035 W. Central, Wichita, KS 67212.

Adelle was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas to her parents Bob and Donna Yost. Adelle married the love of her life Mike Shain March 15th 1975. Of this union one daughter Trisha Shain and one son Travis Shain were born.

Adelle graduated in 1973 from South High School. Adelle went onto Butler County Community College and studied behavioral science and administration to justice. She then began working for Via Cristi Hospital at St. Francis for 16 years as a medical records  transcriptionist. Then went to work for USD 259 for 19 years as an administrative assistant.

During her time in both careers she touched countless lives between co workers and students.

Adelle was preceded in death by father Bob Yost, Sr. and her in-laws, J.R. Shain and Maxine Shain. Survived by her mom, Donna Yost; the love of her life, her husband of 45 years, Mike Shain; daughter, Trisha (Shain) Betz; son, Travis Shain; son-in-law, Tim Betz II; grandsons, Justin Betz, Jared Betz, Jax Roam, Laiken Betz; 4 brothers, Bobby Yost, Mark Yost, Stanley Yost, and David Yost; brothers-in-law, Larry Shain, Gary Shain, Steve Shain, and Jasson Shain; Sisters-in-law, Debbie (Shain) Branstetter, Sheryl Shain, Charlotte Shain, Kirsten Shain, Karen Yost, Sara Yost; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Adelle loved and adored her family and friends unconditionally.

She loved music, worship and dancing, and all things Jesus, and the color turquoise, She loved shopping and the scent of patchouli and her sweet fur baby Bigley. She and LOVED being a Grammy. She always said her  favorite day of the week was Sunday.

Adelle was the best daughter, wife, mom, Grammy, aunt, sister, niece, friend, dog mom, and a true testament in her faith.

Adelle changed lives and  changed the world for her love for Jesus. Mind, Body and spirit. Adelle was beautiful inside and out, strong and such a influencer of the word of God. She had quite the following and impact through her daily devotions that she sent out each day.

Her favorite bible verse is:

Psalm 91:4

" He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. "

Adelle will forever be missed and loved deeply. Her strength and faith will live on and empower us each day to believe and know, there ain't no mountain high enough and to always, always listen to hear.
