Alta Faye Goates
After 85 years with us, Alta Faye Goates passed away on May 14, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on September 28, 1938 in a small Arkansas town to George Washington and Ardeth Marie Brown.
Alta Faye Brown met the love of her life Elmo Goates in Wichita, Kansas. Before long they were married, together they had four children, then along came the grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren with another on the way.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ardeth; her husband, Elmo; daughters, Linda and Wilma; and 2 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Thursday, May 23 at Broadway Mortuary. A service will take place at 1:00pm on Friday, May 24 at Legacy Worship Center with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
