Andrew Robert Stinnette

Andrew Robert Stinnette, a devoted father, a loving husband, and a medically retired Staff Sergeant of the United States Air Force, passed away on June 4, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on July 18, 1986, in Silver Springs, Maryland, Andrew lived a life marked by courage, loyalty, deep devotion, profound emotional depth, and a quiet strength that touched those who had the privilege of connecting with him.

Andrew's role as a husband and father were his truest sources of pride and joy. To those who loved him most, Andrew will forever be remembered as protective, tender-hearted, caring, thoughtful, sweet, strong, silly, and always dreaming ahead for the future. He possessed a natural ability to make life lighter and more joyful with unforgettable dance moves and his interest in bringing out the best in others.

Andrew served his country with dedication. Rising quickly through the ranks to become a Staff Sergeant, he embodied integrity, perseverance, and honor in every aspect of his military career. His commendations and achievements reflected not only his skills but the steadfast heart behind them. After his honorable discharge as a disabled veteran, Andrew continued to serve others through his work at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center in Wichita. His commitment to supporting fellow veterans was a reflection of his generous spirit.

Andrew found peace and happiness in the outdoors, especially in the mountains where he enjoyed camping and hiking. He took great delight in grilling and smoking meat, creating meals that brought people together. A lifelong collector, he gathered coins, shark teeth, baseball and Pokémon cards, and countless small treasures that reflected his curiosity and appreciation for the world. He had a remarkable talent for fixing anything; cars, appliances, and even large construction projects, earning a reputation as someone who could always find a way to make things work again. Among his many simple pleasures, mint chocolate chip ice cream and his perfectly customized restaurant orders were sweet reminders of his playful personality.

Family memories paint a vivid picture of his love and joy. Andrew adored snowy days, happily shoveling and salting walks before building enormous snow forts that provided his children with countless hours of wintry fun. These small moments, filled with wonder and silliness, defined the kind of father he was.

Tenley, his beloved spouse, holds dear the memories of a special trip they shared to Colorado. Though everything seemed to go wrong, they laughed through the mishaps together, creating treasured moments from unexpected chaos. She also remembers their cherished weekly outings to the farmers market. Even during difficult times, Andrew always found a way to surprise her with a bouquet of flowers, a tender symbol of his love and thoughtfulness that never dimmed.

His mother, Elizabeth DeForge, recalls Andrew’s bravery and compassion from an early age, especially during a significant health challenge he faced with extraordinary maturity. In moments when she feared for him, he was the one who comforted her, revealing the depth of his empathy and his remarkable capacity to love.

His children remember walking with him, playing video games, traveling together, and laughing at his playful antics. He was the silly parent, the one who made ordinary days feel magical.

Andrew’s life was rich with love, commitment, and purpose. He is survived by his devoted spouse, Tenley Stinnette (Moulden), and their four beloved children: Abigail, Charlotte, Mason, and Hayden. He is also survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth DeForge; his beloved Aunt Amy, his adoring sister, Kiley (and Nye; and three cherished nephews) and bonus sister Kate. He was preceded in death by his loving grandparents, Robert and Janet Laird.

A memorial service to honor Andrew’s life and legacy will be held on Monday, June 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a man whose life reflected unwavering dedication, boundless love, and enduring strength.
