Powers, Anita, 91, was born March 19, 1923, in Elk County, KS, and went to heaven on January 18, 2015, in Wichita, KS. Mrs. Powers was preceded in death by parents, John and Rose Nix Leo; brother, Chios Leo; and grandson, Brian Leslie White. Survivors include brother, Frank James (Barbara) Leo; daughters, Helen J. Tate, Louise A. (Greg) Swanson of Whitewater, WI, and Karen M. Crump of Natalia, TX; 5 grandsons; and 8 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday; with Funeral Services 10 a.m. Thursday, both at Broadway Mortuary. Following the funeral service, burial will take place at 12:15 p.m., in Piedmont, KS.
