Bernice L. Dove

Bernice Dove passed away peacefully in her sleep on, February 22, 2024.  For all of her 96 years, she continued to live independently at home and in good health.

Bernie still had her driver’s license and drove just as wild as ever. Once in a while, she made a great roast for the whole family. She could also play a shrewd game of Skip Bo.  Bobby had visited with her the day before and she was her usual bright and cheerful self. When Shayla dropped by the next morning, she was gone. Bernie was a top-notch furniture and carpet salesperson for the JC Penney Company and retired after 30 years.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Dove, son Conrad Dove and grandson Cody Jandrakovic. She is survived by her children,  Dina Dove,  Robert L. Dove Jr.,  Gaylin Kotara, daughter-in-law Janine Dove, Sonja Dove and her husband Jack Ostberg; as well as 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

Memorial service 1 p.m. Saturday, March 9^th, at Mount Vernon United Methodist, Wichita, KS, 5701 E. Mount Vernon Street.
