Bill Slankard

William Afton Slankard, 65, passed away at St. Francis Hospital under the care of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice on Friday, May 22, 2026. Service celebrating Bill's life will be at 11:00am, Saturday, May 30, at Harvest Bible Fellowship in Harper, Kansas. Bill is preceded in death by his father, Clarence Slankard; and daughter, Amber Slankard. He is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Janet Slankard; children, Amy (Tyler) Barnett, Jared (Karla) Heiman, Jamiah (Vinny) Sparapani, and many children that Bill and Janet took care of and loved throughout the years; siblings, Melissa Slankard, and Carrie (Robert) Lindsay; grandchildren, Jazzilyn Slankard, Aria Barnett, Joey Copeland, Jackson Heiman, Anabelle Heiman, Logan Heiman, Tanner Heiman, and Valo Sparapani; and great-granddaughter, Daisy Copeland.
