Brad, 58, passed away at home of heart and lung problems Sunday, 10-15-2023. 

 

Survived by wife, Elizabeth Brace; stepsons, Matthew Brace (Natalie); Jayk Querbach (Steve); aunt, Rita Gardner; and dear friends, Debra Goodner; Mistie Rickard, and her sons Austin and Logan. 

 

Preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Patricia Wicker, and brother, Bart Wicker. 

 

Brad was born in Grand Island, Nebraska to Jack and Patricia Wicker. He was the eldest of two sons. Brad and Bart were very close, both in childhood and as adults. They shared a love of Star Trek, motorcycles, old cars, guns and politics. 

 

His family of origin moved often, usually living in rural areas. They eventually moved to Kansas, living in several towns. After Brad's father passed away, they moved to Wichita where Brad completed his paramedic training. He worked briefly as a paramedic, then became a security guard. He medically retired in 2014. 

 

Brad loved dogs, and adored wolves. 

 

Brad worked with Jayk, who introduced Brad to Elizabeth. They dated for a year and fell in love. 

 

Bart Wicker passed away during this time, and Brad had heart surgery. 

 

Brad and Elizabeth married 11-1-2009 in the house they just purchased. Brad loved Elizabeth with all his heart and soul. His legacy is what a wonderful husband he was. Elizabeth blossomed under the sunshine of his love.
