Carol Marie London, 76, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away at home on August 30, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 2, 1950, in Wichita, Kansas.
Carol’s life was marked by devotion to her family, her faith, and the care of others. A graduate of Southeast High School in Wichita, she also attended Wichita State University. She was a homemaker and caregiver whose daily work reflected deep love and steady commitment. She was also a partner in ministry, a pastor’s wife, and a high school youth sponsor, roles through which she encouraged, welcomed, and cared for many people over the years.
She had a gift for making others feel welcome, and she especially loved Sundays, church events, worship music, and hymns. She was outgoing and witty, loved to laugh and tease, and was caring and thoughtful in the way she lived. Her heart was always to see people connected and cared for, and she remained family oriented in all she did. Carol loved cooking and homemaking. Among her happiest memories were times at Table Rock Lake, water skiing, family vacations, hosting gatherings, making sure everyone was fed, spending countless hours watching her grandsons play sports, and being intentional with family time. More than anything, she loved life and loved people well, a legacy that will remain with all that knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roger London; her daughter Stephanie London and daughter Tricia (Mark) Buckingham. She also leaves her grandsons, Cole (Analise) Buckingham, Luke and Brett Buckingham. Carol is also survived by her sisters, Linda Cary and Shelley Zerbe. The love she gave to her family, and the warmth she brought to time spent together, will remain a lasting part of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Shaw; her mother, Beulah Shaw; her son, Ryan London, and her brothers-in-law, Bill Cary and Ron Zerbe.
Visitation with family will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N., Wichita, Kansas 67206. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Central Christian Church, 2900 N. Rock, Wichita, Kansas 67226.
Carol will be remembered for her generous spirit, her joyful presence, her faithful heart, and the way she cared for people so well. Her life was a blessing to her family, her church, and all who were welcomed by her love.
