Charles Houser, Jr.

February 14, 1939 — June 26, 2021

Charlie W. Houser, Jr. was born in Winfield, KS on February 14, 1939, and passed away June 26, 2021. He was the son of Bud and Pauline Houser.

Charlie leaves behind: his wife, Marge Houser; His Son, Jim Price; His granddaughters, Carrie Price, Kimberly Price and Rebecca Price; and grandson, Jimmy Price Jr.

Charlie has always been selflessness. Charlie would bring a smile and a brighter day to everyone around him.

Charlie spent his life working and providing for his family each and everyday. Charlie put pride in each task he did from his yard to his home

Charlie has a wonderful family including brothers sisters nieces nephews, and extended family.

He has always been proud to let you know about his garden, about his yard, or his sprinkler system that ran from a sand point in his back yard. He enjoyed working with his hands making things for Marge in the garage. He would spending time building things for others as well with out ever being asked.

Charlie loved the Lord and would always share his faith in Christ. Charlie would share his understanding of God‘s grace and mercy to anyone and everyone. Charlie understood that this life was meant to serve God and look forward to spending eternity in his glory

There was a time in Charlie and Marge’s married life that they would not be able to have children of their own. Charlie’s great aunt Ulayla had a friend she went to church with, her name Laurel Babb. Laurel Babb had a great grandson who she knew needed something more than to be bounced around from stranger to stranger. They both talked and decided that Charlie and Marge would be a great fit for a small blonde haired boy that needed someone to care for him and love him. Charlie and Marge understand God‘s love and mercy and would teach this to this young boy that would grow in his personal salvation in Jesus. Because of that simple conversation between two older ladies at church there are grandchildren here that know the love of grandparents that may not have ever been because of the blessings of Charlie and Marge.

This GIANT of a man was loved and cherish by family and friends. We all have a great story of Charlie telling us a story, fixing us a meal, or just smiling for us as we talk about our day. We should never stop telling these stories. These stories will make the world around us a better place as we share the love that Charlie planted in each of us as Jesus had planted love in his heart so long ago.
