Cheryl A. Warne was born on November 14, 1954, in Wichita, Kansas to Larry and Emma Lou Combs. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family on March 4th, 2026, at the age of 71. She will be forever in our hearts.

She began her career of service at the Judge Riddel Boys Ranch (Lake Afton Boys Ranch). Followed by 38 years of service with the Salvation Army where she worked with Youth Services followed by the position of Director of Social Services and Emergency Disaster Services. She was a dedicated servant of Christ and spent her life helping others.

Cheryl loved life. She enjoyed spending time in her flower garden as well as other outdoor activities including camping, hiking, and fishing. She also enjoyed painting, and a variety of crafts.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kansas on Monday, March 23rd at 11:00 am.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Emma Lou Combs, and is survived by her husband, Paul Warne; siblings, Michael Combs (Charlotte), Janice Combs, Becky Rhodd, and Linda Luther (Bob); seven nieces and nephews; and eleven great-nieces and great-nephews. Stepsons, Paul Warne III (Margo), Justin Warne, and Adam Warne; eight step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A memorial has been established with Paws In Oz Inc.
