It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Clint Raulsten, 44, beloved husband, father, son, and friend, who left us far too soon on February 11, 2026. He was born in Great Bend, KS, to Jim and Margo. The family lived there until 1994, followed by a short move to Derby, KS, and finally Wichita, where they settled.
Once he graduated high school, Clint was off to follow the campaign trail. Different campaigns took him around the country during the better part of the decade, including Massachusetts; New Hampshire; Florida; Oregon; Texas; Illinois; and New York. He came back home to Kansas in 2008.
In 2011, Clint started working for a bakery where he eventually met his future wife, Samantha; the two were married in December 2012. Clint became stepfather to Lillian; within two years Clint and Samantha welcomed a son, Avery; welcoming their second daughter, Aurora, two years after that.
Clint returned to politics in February 2017 during a whirlwind special election that culminated in April of the same year. He continued to work on multiple campaigns each year after that. Finally, in 2021, he and his wife opened Campaign Planning and Management. As a dedicated Democratic political consultant, Clint was a tireless advocate for progress, using his sharp mind and strategic vision to fight for the values he held dear.
A man of fierce intellect, boundless curiosity, and a heart dedicated to his family and his community, Clint lived a life defined by passion, whether it was shaping the political landscape or curating the perfect backstory for a DND character, which he had recently begun enjoying with his son.
Clint was a proud nerd in the best sense of the word. He traveled between galaxies with a love for both Star Wars and Star Trek, finding inspiration in their stories of hope and adventure. He curated a life defined by a diverse and powerful sonic landscape ranging from the progressive sounds of Rush to the energy of Foo Fighters, and the heavy hitters on his playlist, like Rage Against the Machine, 3 Doors Down, Evanescence, Tech N9ne, and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Clint and Sami had 13 short years together. Their journey was defined by both triumphs and trials yet reached its conclusion in a season of peace. Above all, Clint was a family man. He was the devoted, proud father of Lily, Avery, and Rory; and the beloved son of Jim and Margo, who raised the man so many people came to respect and admire.
Clint is preceded in death by his sister, Annette; grandparents, Pedro (Pete) and Florence Flores; Quentin and Oleta Raulsten.
He is survived by his wife, Samantha; children, Lillian, Avery, and Aurora; parents, Jim and Margo Raulsten, father and mother-in-law, Tim and Adrienne Churchill; as well as dozens of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He has returned to the stars, but his light remains with us.
