Coleen Gast

d. April 10, 2021

Gast (Wein), Coleen A., 82, loving wife, mom, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, grandma and great grandma, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021. With her big smile and sparkling eyes, she was a friend and inspiration to many. Always a nurse and with a servant's heart, she devoted much of her life spending time with others, impacting many lives along the way. She couldn't resist a sale or a good margarita and loved to share her famous home-made pies. Growing up on a farm near Butler, South Dakota, she developed a love for pets which included a car-chasing lamb named Cookie and her horse Dora and many dogs since. As a teenager, she enjoyed school, water skiing & cheerleading. She married Denny Gast, her high school sweetheart on July 8, 1961 and resided in Southern California for the next five years. They settled in the Wichita, KS area for the next 30+ years raising their two children, welcoming grand-children and establishing a legacy of faith, family and friendships. Upon retiring to Bella Vista, AR, Coleen loved to host friends and family at the lake, take on various leadership roles at her church and volunteer for hospice and other organizations. She continued to grow in friendships, love for her family and love for the Lord. We are joyful to know that Coleen is now in glory and reunited with Denny her husband of 59 years.
