Connie Leota Charlet

Connie Charlet, 77, a retired Certified Nursing Assistant, passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery (12100 E 13th N, Wichita) on Tuesday, May 26, at 2:00 PM.

Connie was born in Wichita on September 6, 1948, the daughter of Lyle and Leota (Hamilton) Charlet. She dedicated her life to the Lord and to serving others, taking immense pride in her career caring for children and the elderly. Her family and friends will remember her fierce independence and her laid-back, optimistic, and trusting nature.

Connie's enduring legacy will be her lifetime of humble service at Living Word Outreach. At the time of her passing, she was the oldest living and longest-running member of her church. She selflessly and generously served both her church family and the greater Wichita community, holding a special place in her heart for the church's youth ministry and her volunteer work at Bread of Life Wichita.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Leota Charlet; her sister, Margaret Best; her brother, Arthur Charlet; and her niece, Cindy Best.

Connie is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Velma and Larry Ellenz, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
