M. Corinne Davis

M. Corinne Davis passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the age of 95. Corinne was born on November 5, 1930, in Anthony, Kansas, to Percy and Dorothy Miller. She first lived in Hazleton, Kansas, before moving to Medicine Lodge, Kansas, where she met the love of her life, Ron Davis, in seventh grade. Corinne and Ron loved each other for over seventy-five years. After graduating from Medicine Lodge High School in 1948, Corinne moved to Wichita, Kansas, and enrolled at Wichita University that fall. At Wichita University, Corinne joined the Pi Kappa Psi sorority (now Gamma Phi Beta). She was a distinguished student. Corinne was inducted to the Mortar Board honor society, and during her senior year, she was among five named Senior Honor Women at the university. In 1952, Corinne graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education. Later that year, Corinne married Ron on November 30, 1952. Before she had children, Corinne taught business classes at Wichita North, Rose Hill and Wyandotte high schools. She was later a bookkeeper for Ron’s dental practice. Corinne was highly engaged in volunteering. She served for multiple terms as the PTA President, she was President of the Wichita Dental Auxiliary, she gave her time as a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity Mother’s Club, and she was a P.E.O. member. Corinne had a wide array of interests. She particularly loved studying her family’s history. Corinne leveraged her love of genealogy to trace her family line back to the American Revolution. This gained her lifetime membership into the Daughters of the American Revolution, and she was deeply involved with the organization. She was a profoundly gifted storyteller, and her endless excitement to share her newest genealogical findings with her family only enriched her storytelling acumen. Corinne was a member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Wichita, Kansas. Corinne was married to Ron for sixty-nine years. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Carla, her son, Mark, and her husband, Ronald R. Davis. Corinne is survived by her daughter-in-law, Susan, sons Alan (Beth Herzet) and Steve (Anh Hinshaw), six grandchildren, Kelli Cohlmia (Austen), Kensi Hurst (Daniel), Abby Storey (Jordan), Christian (Julia Hilts), Andrew, Elizabeth, and eight great-grandchildren, Liliana and Lucca Cohlmia, Cole, Caroline, and Pete Hurst, Brooklyn and Jackson Storey, and Natalie Davis. Corinne was deeply loved and admired by her family and friends. She was, in every way, the bedrock of her family. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, with a burial to follow at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, Kansas at 3 p.m. A memorial has been established at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1958 N.
