Daniel Soultanian

Daniel Setrak Soultanian died on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at 79 years old at his home in Wichita, Kansas. He was a brilliant engineer, loving husband and father.

Daniel was the son of Alice and Taniel Soultanian, both of whom were genocide survivors originally coming from Ulukişla, Turkey and the Western Armenian town once known Everek, respectively.

Daniel was born in Beirut, Lebanon in 1946 and spent his childhood in Tyre, Lebanon which he described as “heaven on Earth” and wished to see it once more until the last days of his life. He returned to Beirut for his collegiate studies and then went to Toulouse, France to receive his PhD in Electrical Engineering. Daniel immigrated to the United States in 1973 and in 1990 he met his wife of 35 years, Natalie, in Chicago, Illinois.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Vasgen Soultanian and his parents, Alice and Taniel Soultanian.

Daniel is survived by his wife Natalie Soultanian, child Tommy Soultanian, sisters Seta and Nina Soultanian (Craig), and nephew Garo Vartanian (Chetna) and his children.

Daniel will be remembered for his wealth of knowledge, kind heart and steadfast dedication to his family - he truly embodied what it meant to be an Armenian man.

A private funeral will be held in Wichita, Kansas.
