Darla Arnold

Darla “Sissie” LeVone McGinnis Arnold, passed away at home with her precious family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 51.

Darla was born on July 5, 1970 to Sharit and William “Bill” McGinnis in Wichita, Kansas. Throughout her life, she adored athletics and played every sport. After graduating from Belle Plain High School, Darla played volleyball at Emporia State University. She graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine with a degree in health information management. Her specialty allowed her to travel to places as far as New Zealand. Darla ended her career in the medical field to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a mother. Darla is survived by John, her loving husband of 16 years, and their two daughters, Audrey Faith and Mary Grace. She is also survived by her parents, Sharit & Bill; her three brothers, David, Dennis (Stephanie), and Douglas (Karla).

Darla was happiest shuffling the girls to sporting activities, listening to violin & cello performances, supporting her husband’s career dreams, and enjoying the company of their treasured dogs. A passionate memory maker, Darla was a master at planning vacations for every holiday. Darla will be remembered for her dedication to raising her daughters with the Christ-inspired values of hard work and intense love. Her memory will live through the legacy of their adored girls.

Visitation with family will be held at Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N., from 6:00-8:00pm, Thursday, January 20th. Funeral service will be held at Eastminster Presbyterian Church, 1958 N. Webb Rd., on Friday, January 21st, at 10:00am. The family would like to invite you to a dinner held in Darla’s honor, to celebrate her life. Dinner will be at 6:00pm, at the Cozine Life Events Center.

The family would like to extend a thanks to everyone dedicated to focusing on the Arnold family’s foundation – Audrey and Mary.
