Burnett, Darrell “Jack”, 86, born Oct. 9, 1930 in Arkansas City, KS at the end of the “Great Depression”. Jack held 5 jobs during his career, he was an Administrator at WSU for 21 years, he worked at KG&E, Boeing, Learjet and Tura’s Estate Sales and Appraisals, (this job was held from 1973 thru eternity – his last job was his favorite). Jack was in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict (when McConnell was “Tent City”). Jack married Tura in 1976 – they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on Sept. 30th. Jack had 2 children, Mark (Donna) Burnett and Mary and 2 through marriage to Tura; April (Bart) Curry and Kurt Allen. There are 5 grandchildren, Joy (Sam) Grove, Wayne and Abbey Burnett, and Caleb and Eli Curry and 3 great-grandchildren, Paco and Hailey Ross and Isaac Burnett. Jack was an artist, photographer, fisherman, collector and flower growing expert. He spent his whole life learning; he was extremely smart. Visitation 2-4:00pm, Sunday, Broadway Mortuary. Funeral Service 10:00am, Monday, Bethany United Methodist Church, 1601 S. Main. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorials to Bethany United Methodist Church. Services by Broadway Mortuary.
