David Merrill Fink, age 64, of Wichita, KS, passed away in the early morning of Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022. David was born Aug. 20, 1958 in Fredonia, KS, to Jimmie Lee and Twyla Sue Fink. He graduated from Coronado High School in Scottsdale, AZ in 1976. He also attended Scottsdale Community College, Slot Machine Mechanics school in Reno, NV, and Wichita Area Technical School as an Aviation Maintenance Technician. David had a varied work history, owning a KOA campground, working in oil exploration in the United States and Africa, and as a slot machine mechanic at a casino on the slave coast in Africa. In 1990, David moved to Wichita and started a chimney sweeping business which he ran for the last 33 years. He was a die hard Rolling Stones fan, a BMW enthusiast, and an avid fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee Fink. He was survived by his longtime companion, Debra Walton of Wichita, KS; his mother, Twyla Sue Fink of Mesa, AZ; his two brothers, Gregory Fink of Eloy, AZ, Daniel (Louise) Fink of Cedar City, UT; and numerous grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and step-grandchildren.
