David Lon Garretson

Dave was a Wichita, Kansas native, and lived nearly all his life there, except for a few years in southern California. Dave was well known for his expertise in the hot tub/spa industry for the majority of his life. His employment included working for manufacturers and retail sales, most recently in association with Flint Hills Spas, which he previously owned, then continued as an employee for several years. Dave had only recently retired and was honored by staff and customers at a retirement celebration in May. He shared with his sisters how touched he was by that recognition, and that he was looking forward to resuming volunteering for Meals on Wheels and traveling. Dave will be remembered for his amiable and befriending demeanor and was dedicated to helping his customers get what they needed. 

Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy P. and Charles P. Garretson, and brothers, Charles P. Garretson, Jr., and Thomas P. Garretson. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy G. Morr and Mary Ann (Annie) Garretson. 

A remembrance reception for Dave will be held at the Cozine Life Events Center, 11500 E. 21st St. N., on Saturday, June 22, 2024, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm with reflections beginning at 3:30 pm.
