David Scott Munroe, a beloved member of the Wichita community, passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 60. He was born on February 25, 1963, in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas. David's passion for life, dedication to his craft, and infectious joy touched the lives of all who knew him.

David's creative spirit led him to pursue a successful career as a graphic designer in the industry he loved. With his keen eye for design and innovation, he had a lasting impact through his exceptional work.

Beyond his professional pursuits, David had a deep love for classic cars, finding solace in restoring them to their former glory. He found immense joy in working with his hands, channeling his energy into creatively bringing vintage automobiles back to life. His meticulous workmanship and attention to detail were evident in each masterpiece he crafted.

One of David's most cherished traditions was the art of making hand-made Christmas cards. With love and care, he poured his heart into each card, making sure to capture the holiday spirit. His family and friends were always thrilled to receive these heartfelt expressions, adorned with intricate designs and personalized messages that brought joy during the festive season.

David is survived by his father, Robert Munroe, his sister and brother-in-law, Jo and Jamey Degner, his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jan Munroe, and his step-daughter, Patience Biggs. David is preceded in death by his mother, Ethel Munroe.

To honor and celebrate David's life, a Celebration of Life reception will be held on Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 3:00-5:00 pm, with remarks beginning at 4:00pm, at the Cozine Life Events Center.
