Ubben, David A.

Age 69, devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away on Monday, October 9. He was born February 26, 1948 in Marysville, KS. David is preceded in death by his parents Mahlon and Caroline Ubben; brothers Arlyn Ubben and Ivan Ubben; sister-in-law Ardith Ubben and nephew Doug Ubben. David was raised on a farm in Beattie, KS. He later moved to Wichita where he met Cindi Smith, the love of his life and wife of 44 years. David worked in the insurance industry for over 38 years. He is survived by his wife; daughter Staci and son-in-law Mike Sharlow, daughter Emily Ubben, and granddaughters Addison and Averie, all of Wichita; sister Iola Albright of Wichita; brothers Gary of Wichita, Wendell of Independence, KS and Keith of Lenexa, KS along with many beloved nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, October 13 at 3 pm at First United Methodist Church in Meredith Hall. A memorial has been established with First United Methodist Church, Downtown Alive TV Ministry, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202. To our Dad, Papa and loving husband, we hold your memories in our hearts and your words in our minds with each passing day. You are our strength in times of weakness, our laughter in times of sadness, and our favorite Wildcat forever. With love, your girls.
