Diana Guerrero

May 28, 1948 — May 31, 2017

On May 31, 2017, Diane Guerrero was victorious in her battle over Cancer. She is victorious because she has been reunited with her parents and other loved ones who have gone before her, she is no longer suffering, but at rest, and she is in the arms of her loving God. SHE IS VICTORIOUS. Diane Guerrero was born May 28, 1948 in Rosita, Mexico to Vicente and Enriqueta Bazaldua. At the age of 7, her parents, along with her brother, and five sisters, moved from Mexico, to San Antonio, Texas where she lived out her childhood and ultimately graduated from Breckenridge High School. After graduation Diane travelled north to Derby, Kansas to live with her sister, Carmen Rosenstiel. She started her new venture working at K-Mart, her very first job. She later went to work for the Coleman Co. for a brief time before finally getting hired at Raytheon where she ultimately retired. On April 24, 1971 Diane married Carlos Sandoval. They were blessed with three boys, Carlos Sandoval, Armando Sandoval, and Johnny Sandoval. Armando and his wife Jasmine, of Wichita, Kansas blessed Diane with a granddaughter, Sayda. Johnny, of Moore, Oklahoma, blessed her with two grandsons, Damian, and Isaac. After 21 years of marriage Diane lost her husband, Carlos, to cancer on December 2, 1992. On August 24, 1996 Diane married Jesus Guerrero and was blessed to share the remainder of her life with him and his five children, Jesus, Robert, Liza, Kerena, and Ezra Guerrero. Liza blessed her with four more grandchildren, Gilbert, Jasmine, Alex, and Juliza. For the last 35 years of her life Diane’s faith and service for her God has been her priority. As a member of the Riverside Church of Christ Diane has been an active volunteer. Her gift and her ministry was feeding people. Cooking and food preparation for any and every need, from the PTA, to youth group activities, to the homeless, and less fortunate. All have tasted the “made with love” meals, sandwiches, and desserts prepared by her tireless efforts. Service to others, loving the unlovable, and being a blessing to people less fortunate were her passion, fueled by her love for God. Her passion for others was only superseded by her passion for her family. Her husband, her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, those were her joys in life. They were her purpose. Her family completed her. Diane was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Carlos. She is survived by her husband, Jesus, all of her beloved children and grandchildren. Her brother, Jesse Bazaldua, of San Antonio, Texas, her sisters, Carmen Rosentsteil, Rosa Diaz, Maria Garroutte, of Wichita, Kansas, Lupe Houser, and Irma Avila, of Ponca City, Oklahoma, and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will forever hold the memory of her strength and her smile in their hearts. She was victorious in life and victory is hers for eternity.
