December 20, 1942 — August 31, 2021

Maxine Diane Martin, 78, master gardener, teacher, and life-long Wichita State fan, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 on Tuesday, September 7, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service at 2:00, Wednesday, September 8, at First Evangelical Free Church. Burial will follow funeral service at Kensington Gardens. Diane is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, W. Gary Martin; parents, Harold and Maxine Hitz, and brothers, Harold Kent Hitz, and Stanley James Hitz. Survivors include her sons, Jeff (Tamera) Martin, and Eric (Trish) Martin; daughter-in-law, Linette Martin; sister, Shelia Jean Hitz; nieces, Kristin Dahm, Shannon Hitz, Emily Reeves, and Amy Hitz; nephews, Trey Frederick, Trent Frederick, and Corey Hitz; grandchildren, Carlie Martin, Austin Martin, Devin Eis, Lauren Jankord, Garrett Martin, Justin Martin, Kaden Eskins, and Jasmine Jones, and great-grandchildren, Sawyer Jankord, Liam Jankord, and Hudson Martin.
