Donald Wayne Olson, Sr., 60, passed away Sunday, September 18, 2016. Committal Service will take place at 4 pm, Friday, September 23, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date at Kansas Veterans’ Cemetery in Winfield, KS. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Shirley Olson; brother, Eric Olson; and one granddaughter. Survivors include his children, Donald W. Olson, Jr., Devon Olson (Beth), Joleen Gaylord (Josh), Aaron Olson, and Machen Olson; step-daughters, Alicia Shoffner and Veronica Smith (John); brothers, Everett and Lewis Olson; sisters, Annette and Mary Olson, Alice Haywood, and Yvonne Popovich; 17 grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Wounded Warrior Project and American Cancer Society.
