Donald Travis

Donald L. Travis, 96, was a retired Western Electric /AT&T Supervisor, who proudly served his country in World War 2 and the Korean War. He spent his later years indulging in his twin hobbies of coin collecting and bullshitting with his friends at Phil's Coins. He loved and took great pride in his family. Don was known for his generosity, unique sense of humor, and overall enjoyment of life! He passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. Don was born May 21, 1928 in Wichita, KS to Levi and Matilda (Schoenfiel) Travis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna, his parents and his six siblings, Virginia Everhart, Clara Richie, Richard Travis, Dwayne Travis, Jean Byfield and Wilbur Travis. Survivors include his sons, Steven (Marilyn) Travis and Scott (Cheri) Travis; grandchildren, Kael (Melissa) Travis, Dr. Jamie Travis (Brian Tatchin), Sydney (Fred) Brown; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Travis and Maeve Travis. Don left a lasting impression on all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
