Donald L. Waller

Donald (Don) Lee Waller, 90, of Rose Hill, Kansas, passed away on July 9, 2026. 

Don was born on May 18, 1936, to parents John and Lola Waller. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 56 years, Karen; his granddaughter, Kandra Waller; and his son-in-law, David Depew. He is survived by his wife Donna; son, David (Tami) Waller; daughter, Debbie Depew; grandsons, Dylan Waller and Daniel Depew; and great-grandchildren, Blake Waller and Khali Smith.

Don retired from the US Naval Reserve as a Senior Chief after serving for 33 years from 1953-1986. He worked for Bradshaw machine shop, Boeing, and taught at Wichita VoTech. He then started D.L. Waller Machine Shop in Rose Hill in 1971, retiring after 30 years. He enjoyed collecting clocks, Ford Model A’s, and traveling. He was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church for over 70 years. Visitation on Thursday, July 16th from 11:00am-12:30pm at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita, KS. Graveside service on Thursday, July 16th at 2:00 pm, at Dunlap Cemetery,15501 Meadowlark Rd., Rose Hill, KS 67133.
