Dudley Nixon

Dudley W. (Bill) Nixon, age 76, died Monday, March 6, 2017. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm, Thursday, March 9, and Mass of Christian Burial, Friday, March 10, at 10:00 am, both at Church of the Magdalen, 12626 E. 21st St. N. Bill was born in Nevada, Missouri on December 6, 1940. He graduated from St. Mary of the Plains High School in Dodge City, Kansas in 1960. After serving 4 years in the US Air Force, he began a 32 year career with Prudential Insurance Company. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Charles R. and Mary Elizabeth Nixon. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandy; daughters, Becky (Rob) Knapp, Michelle (Tom) May, both of Wichita, and Sarah (Brandon) Kauffman of Topeka; sister, Susan (Ron) Newman of Branson, MO. His pride and joy are his 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with the Lord’s Diner and the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Church of the Magdalen.
