Ernest "Ernie" Spence

Ernest “Ernie” Leon Spence, 90, returned to the stars peacefully by the light of a full moon on Friday, August 12, 2022. Ernie was preceded in death by wife of 60 years, “his sweetheart”, Gertrude Spence and sons, Ernest Leon Spence, Jr and Everett Allen Spence.  Survivors include his daughter, Linda Spence; granddaughter, Marty Spence; sons, Gary Douglas Spence, Randall Lynn Spence, Delmar Ray Spence; grandsons, Doug Spence, Joshua Spence, Joseph Spence, Chad Spence; granddaughter, Melissa Spence; and nine great-grandchildren. A ceremony and celebration of his life will be hosted at 10 am, Saturday, August 20, at Woodland United Methodist Church, 1100 W. 15th St. N. Viewing and thanks for his earth side remains will take place one hour prior to services, at 9am. He will be laid to rest next to his beloved family directly after.
