Esther Chenoweth

Esther L. Chenoweth, loving Aunt, Great Aunt, Sister-in-law, and friend went to her eternal home December 2, 2021. Esther was born May 9, 1940 in Chetopa, Kansas to Ray and Alice D. Davis. Several years later the family moved to Wichita where Esther attended school, graduating from Wichita High School West. The start of her adult working career was as a gift wrapper at Henry’s Clothing store, where she later worked for many years in the credit department. Later she was employed as Office Manager at Weichman Busch Tire Company where she was still employed. Esther loved the Lord and was a faithful follower. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Ray. She is survived by nephews, Jeff Davis (Kathy), Jay Davis (Brenna) and niece Juli Mills (Rex), sister-in-law, Brenda Davis, seven great nieces and nephews and eight great-great nieces and nephews with another coming in February.

A visitation with family will be held from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Tuesday, December 7th at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, December 8th at Glenn Park Christian Church, 2757 S. Glenn, burial at Resthaven Cemetery. A memorial has been established with Glenn Park Christian Church, Building Repair fund.
