Eugene "Louie" Stumblingbear

Eugene "Louie" Stumblingbear, 74, made his journey Home, Tuesday, June 9, 2026. Louie was a very proud member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. He is the great-grandson of Chief Stumblingbear. He spent much time and effort giving back to the Native community. One of his proudest achievements was being accepted into the Kiowa Gourd clan. Memorial service celebrating Louie's life will be at 10:00am, Saturday, June 20, at Broadway Mortuary. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery will follow the service.

Louie is preceded in death by his parents, Francis Stumblingbear and Irene Zotigh-Stumblingbear; sons, Eugene "Geneo" and Daniel Stumblingbear; siblings, Elton Stumblingbear, Francetta Stumblingbear, Sandra Mendia-Stumblingbear, Polina Stumblingbear, and Andy Stumblingbear. He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lynn Stumblingbear; children, Satawna (Billy Chadwick) Stumblingbear, Brian Rebold, Cristina (Roger) Davis, and Shelly Wahweotten; siblings, Mark Stumblingbear, and Emma Mae Stumblingbear; 8 grandchildren, and many, many great-grandchildren and extended family members.
