Day-Houdashelt, Fern M., 96, retired Sedgwick County Courthouse Clerk, passed away Sunday, February 1, 2015. Born on a farm near Grove, OK to Walter and Minnie Hutton, Fern loved gardening, fishing, camping and spending time with her family. Funeral service 10:00am, Saturday, Broadway Mortuary Chapel. Preceded in death by husbands, Marshall Day and Cecil E. Houdashelt; her parents, 2 sisters, 2 brothers and 1 grandson. Survivors include her son, John (Marcia) Day; daughters, Phyllis (Jerry) Dean, Marsha Byfield and Deborah (Art) Stack; sister, Thelma Taylor; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
