Frances Friend

Frances S. (Raple) Friend, 98, former Beech Aircraft and Montgomery Ward employee, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015. Frances was born February 7, 1917 in St. Marks, KS. She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Friend; parents, Martin and Anna (Phillips) Raple; brother, Gerald; sister, Gertrude; and an infant brother. Survivors include her sons, Jim (Tina), Bob (Debbie), Raymond (Holly), John, Larry, and Dan Friend; daughters, Joan Friend, Lois (Dick) Frank, and Carol (Russ) Drescher; brother, Joseph Raple; sisters, Susan Kraus and Mary Hoefgen; 21 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation, 2-5 pm, Sunday, Dec. 6, Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S. Broadway. Rosary, 9:30 am, Monday, Dec. 7, and Funeral Mass, 10 am, both at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E.
