• Gaylia Maurine (Grant) Ward was born on November 14, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas to Maurice and Esther Grant.

Gaylia was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Grant; her mother, Esther (Louderbaugh) Grant; brothers, Charles and Johnnie Grant; her husband, Leroy Richard Ward; and great-grandson, Landon Stine. She is survived by her sister, Mary (Grant) Hecox; her three children, Marjorie Hecox, Christine (Jonathan) Duree, and John (Marica) Ward; two grandchildren, Cierra Ward and Richard Duree; two great-grandchildren, Aurora and Joseph Stine; many nieces and nephews; and many friends from Grace United Methodist Church and Foster Grandparents.

• A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Wednesday, March 12th at Broadway Mortuary. A funeral will take place at 10:00am on Thursday, March 13th at Broadway Mortuary. Burial will follow the funeral at Highland Cemetery.
