George Badeen

Badeen, George P., 62, born June 23, 1953 in Tulsa, OK passed away May 30, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Trisagion and Funeral Service will be 7:00 pm, Thursday at St. George Orthodox Christian Cathedral, 7515 E. 13th. Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday at Resthaven Cemetery. Preceded in death by father, Joe Badeen; mother, Susie Razook Badeen; brother, William “Billy” Badeen; and infant sister. Survived by brother, Charles Badeen of Wichita; uncles, Farris Razook and Gene Razook, both of Wichita; aunts, Vivian Razook of Wichita and Nora Courtney of Novato, CA; and numerous other cousins and friends. George was a graduate of Goddard High School and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. He taught physical education for many years with the Wichita Public Schools and worked with at-risk youth until he retired. George was a huge sports enthusiast and always had on a sweatshirt or shirt from one of his favorite teams: WSU Shockers, KC Royals, KC Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers. He had a big heart and was always there when anyone was in need. He regularly checked in on relatives and took them to appointments, lunch or just out for fun.
