Glen A. Rodman Jr., a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on May 4, 2026. Born on June 12, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, Glen lived a life defined by strong family bonds, dedicated military service, and meaningful personal connections.
Glen’s commitment to his country was a defining part of his character. He served with honor in the United States Army Reserve, where his leadership and integrity earned the respect of those who served alongside him. He achieved the rank of Colonel while serving with the 89th Regional Readiness Command as Chief of Staff and Command Executive Officer. Over the course of his nearly 40-year career, Glen carried himself with strength, discipline, and a deep sense of duty.
Outside of his service, Glen found joy on the golf course, at the family farm, and by the water with a fishing pole in hand. Golf, in particular, was more than a pastime—it was a way for him to build lasting friendships and create meaningful connections. Many of his closest relationships were formed and strengthened over rounds of golf, where his steady presence and easy conversation left a lasting impression. He also took great satisfaction in spending time at the family farm, especially mowing—simple moments that brought him peace and a sense of purpose.
Glen’s greatest pride, however, was his family. He shared a special bond with his grandchildren, mentoring them both on and off the golf course. Whether offering guidance in life or teaching patience and perseverance through the game he loved, Glen used these moments to connect, encourage, and pass on his values. Those lessons—and the time spent together—will be treasured for generations.
Glen’s legacy lives on through the loving family he leaves behind. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy Rodman; his sons, Greg Rodman and Bryan Rodman (Tabitha); and his daughter, Kristen Frieze. He is also survived by his brother, James Rodman. The next generations who carry forward Glen's spirit include his grandchildren Dallen Rodman, Blaine Rodman, Drew Rodman, Jake Rodman, Brayden Frieze, Logan Frieze, Bennett Rodman, and Becca Rodman, along with two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Mary Rodman, and his sister, Marilyn Corbin.
Glen will be remembered for the relationships he built, the wisdom he shared, and the steady, caring presence he brought to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and the family he loved so deeply.
