He spent many summer days fishing farm ponds in Kansas and the Wabana Chain of Lakes from his beloved Sage cabin on Bluewater in Itasca County, Minnesota. Greg was a sailor, accumulating many memories sailing on Cheney Lake, where he also served as Commodore in 1985 at the Ninnescah Sailing Association.
Greg moved to Wichita to attend Wichita Business College, where he met the love of his life, Diane Leahy. The two were married on October 16, 1970, and shared 41 years of marriage until Diane’s passing.
Professionally, Greg worked as a public accountant for more than 30 years, eventually creating Gough Financial Group, where he served as a partner and financial advisor. He was respected for his integrity, steady counsel, and enduring relationships with clients and colleagues alike.

He is survived by his daughter, Rachael Ann "Annie" Gough of Denver, CO; son, Andrew Robert Gough and daughter-in-law Katie Alana Gough of Wichita, KS; and grandsons, Weston and Sullivan Gough; and his yellow labrador Annabelle.
A gifted storyteller, Greg had a keen ability to capture an audience, he made others feel seen and special. He never missed a birthday call and often sent thoughtful notes and handwritten cards. Whether across the dinner table or with a rod in hand, Greg shared stories and memories that will live on in those who knew him.
