Hal Hooper

Hal Hooper, 54, loving son, brother, and friend, died January 15, 2022. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, January 24, in the chapel at Central Christian Church.

Hal was born on April 8, 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia to Sandy and Ed Hooper. Active in sports and Boy Scouts as a youth, he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. After graduating from Southeast High School, Hal received degrees from Manhattan Christian College and Wichita State University. Professionally, he served 15 years as head writer for Armstrong Chamberlin Advertising.

Hal is survived by his parents, Sandy and Ed Hooper; sister, Beth (Danny) Hooper Payne; niece, Italia Payne; aunt, Becky (Bill) Swartzel; uncles, Jerry Ragsdale and Mike Ragsdale; and numerous cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution to Central Christian Church’s mission fund is suggested.
