Helen Marie Ball (Cox) passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones and her dog Lilly, on April 13, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 81. She was born on June 13, 1942, in Wichita, KS. Following graduation from West High, she married Lenn on July 29, 1962. They resided in Wichita, KS where they raised their daughters Lynette and Belinda. During the years, they spent their lives in service to the Lord, modeling their faith in everything they did together. Helen was blessed abundantly with a gift for helping others. She was satisfied with working behind the scenes, giving the best love and care to anyone she came in contact with. Helen was the heart of the home, creating spaces filled with love and a focus on family. Though soft spoken, her words could uplift any gathering with her quick wit and lighthearted spirit. Helen will be remembered as a compassionate, service-minded, intentional, heartfelt woman who had love for animals, her family, and the Lord. She is survived by her loving husband, Lenn E Ball, her daughters Lynette Sharlow and Belinda Stowers (John A), her grandchildren Jonathan Sharlow (Elizabeth), Christopher Sharlow, Bryanna Cortez (David), Mikala Harvey (Joseph), Austin Stowers (Gabriella), Justin Stowers, Brandon Stowers (Ashley), and her great-grandchildren Evelyn and Jace Sharlow, with two more on the way. Helen was preceded in death by her mother Edna Cox, father John Cox, brothers Jim Cox, Carl Cox, John Cox, sisters Billie Johnson, Viola Whiteman, and granddaughter Danielle Stowers. The service to honor Helen's life will be held on Friday, April 19th, at 10:00 am at Westside Church of the Nazarene, with a graveside service following at Resthaven Cemetery. A family visitation and viewing will take place on Thursday, April 18, at Broadway Mortuary from 6:00-8:00 pm. A lunch for the family will follow the graveside service at Westside Church of the Nazarene. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Westside Church of the Nazarene in memory of Helen Marie Ball. May she rest in peace and her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
