Helen Kilmer

June 16, 1928 — February 17, 2020

Helen Mabel (Wilson) Kilmer left this world on February 17th, 2020 to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven. Helen was born on June 16,1928 on the family farm 4 ½ miles northwest of Deer Creek, OK. She was the youngest child of Royal and Mabel (Erickson) Wilson. She attended Northwestern State College in Alva, OK. She taught in a one room schoolhouse after completing her teaching certificate. She married Eugene Kilmer on January 26, 1947. They moved to Wichita with Rick and Jeanne Ann in 1951. Jane and Wilson were born soon after. They attended First Wesleyan Church where Helen was a member for 69 years. She taught children's Sunday school classes and faithfully served in many other ways. She retired from the United States Postal Service in 1988. Eugene preceded her in death after 65 years of marriage. Helen was also preceded in death by her parents and stepmother Emma (Wilson) Erickson, sister and her husband Frances and Luell Glass. Her brothers and their wives, Howard wife Vona, then Letha and Lila, Wayne and Fern, and Ralph and Jennie. Nephews Leo Glass, Jim Wilson, JR Glass, and Great granddaughter Adah Dawn Wilmott. She is survived by her children Rick and Vickie Kilmer, Jeanne Ann and Earl Ray, Jane and Doug McClellan, and Wilson and Gwen Kilmer. Grandchildren Jayme (Ray) and Chris Brown, Brian and Lisa Kilmer, Casey and Angie Ray, Randi (McClellan) and Casey Godown, Ashley (McClellan) and Michael Wilmott, Katie(McClellan) and Blake Evans, Olson and Maddie Kilmer, and Tanner Kilmer. Great grandchildren Cody and Lola Von Brown, Cookie Brown. Brayden and Elliot Kilmer. Jarred and Jaavan Davis, Jacee, Kaydnn, and Kayleb Ray. Boone Michael Wilmott. Chloe, Lydia, and Joel Kilmer. Great-Great grandchildren Tyrian and Serafina Von Brown Many nieces, nephews and friends.Visitation with family present will be held from 2-4 pm, Sunday, February 23, at Broadway Mortuary, 1147 S.
