Herndon, Isaac William
, 22, passed away March 30, 2018. Visitation with family 6:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, at Broadway Mortuary. Funeral service 10:30 am, Friday, at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. Isaac was born April 18, 1995 in Wichita, Kansas. He graduated from Rose Hill High School and earned his Associates Degree from WATC in Aircraft Maintenance. Isaac worked at Spirit Aerospace and was a co-owner of The Art of Escape. He was an intricate part of the actual designs of the rooms and puzzles. He loved music, having played baritone, trombone, saxophone, guitar and violin. He earned a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo from Kimball School of Taekwondo. He loved to tinker with electronic components and would work diligently to figure out how it was made and how to improve it. He was talented with computers, coding for computer games and designing animations. Isaac was also talented with automotive repair, having torn apart the engine of a 1984 Dodge Dakota that had been passed down through the family. He was the person to call when a vehicle needed repair. He enjoyed building and firing off rockets when he was younger, and wasn’t discouraged from trying again, just because he couldn’t recover them. The one rocket that wasn’t supposed to break the egg was recovered with egg everywhere. Isaac will be remembered for his infectious, but somewhat mischievous smile. He knew how to make you laugh. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly R. Herndon of Rose Hill, KS; father and stepmother, Mark W. and Jennifer L. Herndon of Peck, KS; brother, Adam Herndon of Rose Hill; half-brother, Caleb Herndon; half-sisters, Kaylee and Courtney Herndon, all of Peck; grandparents, Ron and Rhea Sloan of Dexter, KS, William and Carol Herndon of Wichita; step-grandparents, Richard and Sherry Wilson of Mulvane; aunts, Jennifer (Tony) Moreland of Dexter and Cheryl (Andy) Busada of Wichita; and cousins, Wesley Green, Logan Green, Katelyn Green, all of Winfield and Olivia Busada and Jessica Busada of Wichita.
