James Sanders

Sanders, James W. (Jim), all around “Good Guy”, passed away June 28, 2016 after sustaining head injuries from a fall. Surrounded by family and friends, he passed without pain or suffering. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Friday, July 8th, at Central Christian Church. Jim was a lifelong resident of Wichita, a graduate of Wichita State University, member of the Phi Sig Fraternity and a 32A� Mason. He served his country as a 1st Lieutenant in the US Air Force. Jim had a long career as a realtor, working with both his father and brother in the real estate business. He loved the game of golf and the many friends who made up the groups he played with. A good friend too many, always the first to arrive at any gathering, fantastic cook, enjoyed telling or hearing a good joke and was a passionate lover of every dog he met – he will be missed by all! Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Peggy Su Sanders; parents, Wendell H. and Ethel Mae Sanders; brother, Charles W. Sanders and his good friend, Dee Hill. He is survived by his sons, Timothy J. (Michelle) and Scott W. (Kiva) and three grandchildren, Cooper, Hayley and Kade. A memorial has been established with the Kansas Humane Society.
